Production 3- Completing typography Week 9

I'm still finishing up my writing portion of the magazine. It's a little bit harder than I expected it to be. And design is very challenging to use, I have to look every individual way to work in design on Google, and every time there is a solution on how to do what I would like to do on InDesign. I've made all of the colors of the text and all of the separate fonts in the magazine to tie together throughout the four pages. I also am trying to put all of the text in places that look really nice, and that also look like a real magazine. The pictures and the text together looks phenomenal, and I love the whole vibe that I am getting from this magazine.

Production 3- FA importing and arranging Week 9

This entire week I spent all of my time importing and arranging all of my photographs. I also put together all of the different colored backgrounds, and placed all of these special photographs that I have taken to the best of my ability to make this magazine flow the way I would like it too. I'm so happy with this result, and I know it's not the end of my editing because I still need to add in all of the text and piece together all of the different types of colored texts and different types of fonts. Next I am going to add in the writing portion of this magazine, and tie it in with my format and design of which I imported the pictures into.

Production 2- Photographs for Week 8

I already have all of my photographs ready to import into InDesign, and I have been editing and cropping the specific pictures that I would like to use in my magazine. I did end up taking a few more sunset and sunrise pictures, and I looked through my camera roll one last time to try and find any more pictures of the sky or palm trees or the water or really anything that pertains to nature and outside. I added all of these pictures to my album of photographs that I may possibly use for my magazine, I like to do this so I can have multiple choices just in case I don't like a certain picture, I will have way more to choose from, that way I don't have to worry about taking even more last minute. I am ready to import these pictures, and the vibe for this magazine is very vibrant and natural. I am very excited to import these into InDesign and ready to start arranging my magazine.

Production 2- Interviews for FA Week 8

I have already interviewed my mother, but I felt like I didn't go that much in depth as I needed to go for the interview, so I decided to schedule another interview this past week that I successfully got done with. This interview went more in depth about the different things she likes to do while traveling.

Production 1- Determining necessary props and personnel Week 7

This wasn't too hard for me to do because I didn't need many props or people. All I need for people is my mother Theresa Lavin, to interview, and I was successful with that, if you check out my other blog, I explained the process of how that interview went. I basically just got all of my materials together and now I am ready to finally put the pieces together, that is of course after winter break....

Production 1- Scheduling shoots and interviews Week 7

For the pictures used throughout the magazine, I used pictures that I have taken while traveling. All of the pictures used were taken, and edited, by me. I just made a huge folder filled with possible images I could use throughout my magazine, and most of the pictures were saturated and very vibrant. The theme for my magazine was sleek and colorful, but not too much, just a natural type of feel and sunset/ sunrise idea. Most pictures had the sky in them, and I really enjoy photographing. I photographed a few more pictures of sunsets and pretty cotton candy skies that I might possibly use.    I scheduled an interview with my mom for Wednesday because she is very busy and she is always flying. 80% of the time my mom usually isn't home and she is working, so I definitely needed to schedule a date to interview her and Wednesday she was off. I just asked her multiple questions about what she likes to do while traveling, and the basic overall questions about her career and wh...
